The RUN YOUR CITY (RYC) Series’ latest Strava Challenge is encouraging runners to put their love for running to good use by “RUNNING FOR A CAUSE” on Saturday 14 August 2021.
“Charity support has been an important focus of the RYC Series since the inception of the first event, the CAPE TOWN 12K CITYRUN in 2015,” says Michael Meyer, Managing Director of Stillwater Sports and founder of the RYC Series. “Being in the midst of a pandemic, charities are feeling the clinch more than ever. We are excited to encourage the RYC Series Community to show their support by taking on the RYC Series ‘RUN FOR A CAUSE’ Challenge on Strava. Taking place on Saturday 14 August 2021 between 05:00 – 22:00, runners can choose their own distance, location and route.”
“The RYC Series has partnered with GivenGain,” continues Meyer. “Once runners have joined the ‘RUN FOR A CAUSE’ Challenge on Strava, they can either commit to dedicating their run to one of the RYC Series Charities or they can go one step further by starting their own fundraising page and support a cause that lies close to their hearts. Runners are reminded to capture and share their activities, routes, photos and dedicated cause to the RYC Series Club Page on Strava. Don’t forget to include #RunYourCity #RunForACause #RunPuma. An awesome pair of PUMA Deviate NITRO Spectra running shoes to the value of R4000 is up for grabs. Get ready to go the extra mile by making your run count!”
