SOS Children’s Villages excited to take on the Cell C Day Of Races

The organizers of the Cell C Day Of Races powered by Reebok are excited to welcome the children from the SOS Children’s Villages to the inaugural event at the Roosevelt High School Sports Grounds (Johannesburg) this coming Sunday, 28 August 2016.

An independent, non-governmental, social development organization, the SOS Children’s Villages believes that every child deserves to grow up in a family environment.

“We provide a loving home to orphaned, abandoned and vulnerable children,” says Seithuto Seakgwa, SOS Children’s Villages Marketing Communications Manager.   “We are really excited to be part of the Cell C Day Of Races.  Sport is a tool of therapy especially for children.  It encourages them to learn to be disciplined, to integrate with other children, promotes healthy development and teaches them to communicate well.  The event will ignite their interest and make them feel loved, cared for and honoured.  We have entered 196 children into the Cell C Day Of Races (66 from Mamelodi, 100 from Ennerdale and 30 Rustenburg).  The children are really looking forward to the race, making new friends, and having fun.”
