#RunUnited at the Totalsports Women’s Race Joburg and Cape Town this Women’s Day

The cities of Johannesburg and Cape Town are primed to host a Women’s Day Celebration of note, the Totalsports Women’s Race, on Thursday, 09 August 2018 in support of PinkDrive.

“The Totalsports Women’s Race was really well received in Durban at the end of the July,” says Patrick Singh, Head of Totalsports Marketing.  “We are excited to bring the action to the streets of Johannesburg and Cape Town on National Women’s Day.  We firmly believe that sport has the power to change lives and are proud to play our part in celebrating, educating and encouraging participants to take action and raise awareness around breast cancer through running.  We encourage all entrants to help us support the PinkDrive by spreading their message that ‘early detection saves lives’. We look forward to seeing a sea of pink Run United at the Totalsports Women’s Race on National Women’s Day.”

Registration Information:

Each entrant will receive a fitted Event T-shirt, a finisher’s bracelet, a Totalsports head scarf and can look forward to a memorable performance by Sho Madjozi.

The following ROADS will be affected by ROAD CLOSURES on event day (between 05:00 – 13:00):  Henry Nxumalo, Jeppe, Main Road, Noria Mabasa, Dolly Rathebe, Church, Queen, Clifton, Bartlett, Krause, 8^th Street, Enoch Sontonga, Jorissen, Bertha, Ameshoff and Melle.

Each entrant will receive a fitted Event T-shirt, a finisher’s bracelet, a Totalsports head scarf and can look forward to a lively performance by GoodLuck.

The following ROADS will be affected by ROAD CLOSURES on event day (between 05:00 – 13:00):  Darling, Primrose, Hyde, Nelson, Roeland, Tennant, Constitution, Adderley, Parliament, Plein, Corporation, Paddock Avenue, Avenue, St Johns, Hatfield, Vrede, Wandel, Hope, Canterbury, Cauvin, Keizersgracht, Sir Lowry, Kuyper, Phillip Kgosana Drive (Service Road), Christiaan, Searle, Warwick, Nelson Mandela Drive, Chapel, Balfour, Francis, Basket Lane and Russel.

PRIZE PURSE:  The 2018 Totalsports Women’s Race (Durban, Johannesburg and Cape Town) boasts a combined prize purse of R123 600.

CHARITY SUPPORT:  The Totalsports Women’s Race proudly supports PinkDrive, a Non-Profit Company (NPC) that is committed to improving breast cancer awareness, education, and providing and offering free services to the medically uninsured across South Africa. PinkDrive will be present at the Totalsports Women’s Race in Johannesburg and Cape Town offering FREE clinical breast examinations and educating on the importance of self- breast examinations.
