Mountain bikers and trail runners taking part in the 2023 Fedhealth Magalies Monster MTB Classic and Fedhealth Platinum Trail Run on Saturday 03 and Sunday 04 June 2023 respectively will stand a chance to secure their share in the R52 000 combined Prize Purse.
“We would like to offer mountain bikers and trail runners an added incentive to give their all at the Fedhealth Magalies Monster MTB Classic Marathon (+-65km) and Fedhealth Platinum Trail Run Long Route (+-24km) in 2023,” says Michael Meyer, Managing Director of Stillwater Sports. “Marathon riders will compete for their share in R30 000. The Overall Men’s and Women’s winners will each take home R5000, with R3000 going to the second place finisher and R2000 to the third-place finisher. The Top Three finishers in the following categories will also be rewarded for their efforts: Senior Men and Women, Sub Vet Men and Women, Vet Men and Women, Master Men and Women and Grandmaster Men and Women.”
“Trail Runners that have signed up for the Fedhealth Platinum Trail Run’s Long Route (+-24km) will be vying for their share in R22 000.00,” continues Meyer. “The overall men’s and women’s winners will take home R3000 each, while R2000 will go to the runners’ up with third place finishers securing R1000 each. Prize money has also been allocated to the top three finishers in the following categories: Senior Men and Women, Sub Vet Men and Women, Vet Men and Women, Master Men and Women and Grandmaster Men and Women.”
In closing Meyer adds: “The overall winners in both the mountain bike and trail running events will also be rewarded with beautiful trophies. We can’t wait to welcome entrants to the start line at the ATKV Buffelspoort ready to either #ConquerTheMonster or run as fast as their legs will carry then. We look forward to a fantastic celebration of mountain biking and trail running in the beautiful Magaliesberg.”

CHARITY SUPPORT: The Fedhealth Magalies Monster MTB Classic and Fedhealth Platinum Trail Run proudly support the The Kindness Collaboration. Founded by Fedhealth and Operation Healing Hands (OHH), The Kindness Collaboration offers much needed support to South Africans who cannot afford quality medical care. All medical professionals associated with OHH provide their time and skills for free; the funds raised go towards expenses such as consumables and random medical expenses. When entering either of the events online, mountain bikers and trail runners can donate towards the cause.
FREE RIDER JERSEY: Entrants that donate R400 or more towards The Kindness Collaboration will receive a rider jersey compliments of OHH and Fedhealth.
