Taking place at the ATKV Buffelspoort in June 2019, junior adventure seekers will be able to experience the action of the FNB Magalies Monster MTB Classic and FNB Platinum Trail Run with the introduction of a 2.5km mountain bike category (Saturday, 01 June 2019) for children 6 years + and a 2.5km trail run category (Sunday, 02 June 2019) for children 9 years +.
“The introduction of the kids’ events is long overdue,” says Michael Meyer, Managing Director Stillwater Sports. “The FNB Magalies Monster MTB Classic turns 17 this year, while the FNB Platinum Trail Run turns 7. We’re excited to introduce the younger generation to the exhilarating sport of mountain biking and trail running. Both the kids races will start and finish at the ATKV Buffelspoort. The routes are easy, safe and fun. Mom and/or dad are welcome to run alongside the children if they so wish. Adventurous families can expect a fun-filled weekend for the entire family.”
