Don’t miss AfricanX’s Training Runs

“Let Nature Give You A Run For Your Money”

Trail running enthusiasts taking part in the 2017 Cell C AfricanX Trailrun presented by ASICS will be pleased to hear that there are three training runs geared at helping entrants prepare for this premier three day stage trail run.

According to Dawid Visser, ASICS FrontRunner, the goal of the first training run is to get athletes into the trail running mind-set before the festive season kicks off.  “Training needs to continue during the holiday period.  The first training run will prepare entrants for this.  The terrain will be mostly smooth trail with the odd rock and/or tree root thrown in.   There will also be some flat sections, hills and stairs.”

“The training runs are free of charge and ideal for trail runners of all fitness levels,” continues Visser.  “Runners must, however, be able to run at least 15km on the road. This will just make the training runs more enjoyable.”

Other ASICS FrontRunners joining in on the fun will include:  Nicholas Rupanga, Brendan Lombard and Wietse van der Westhuizen.
