Following in the footsteps of the inaugural event, runners taking part in the second annual FNB Cape Town 12 on Sunday, 15 May 2016 will stand an equal chance to go home as the proud owner of a zippy Opel Adam.

“The FNB Cape Town 12 ONERUN is a great, professionally run event,” says Kevin Denicker, General Manager of REEDS Motor Group. “The event is good for Cape Town – for both the sport crazy people and economy of Cape Town. The Opel Adam giveaway in 2015 was extremely well received and witnessing the excitement on the winner’s face was a fantastic experience, one that we will not forget. We are looking forward to making yet another entrant very happy come event day.”

Anelise Stanford was the lucky runner that took home this spectacular prize in 2015. “Winning the Opel Adam competition was an unexpected miracle,” says a very happy Stanford. “It was my first run over 5km and my first race since I broke my back a couple of years earlier. Just entering the event was a big deal for me. Winning the awesome car was the icing on the cake. I didn’t realise that my name was called out until my sons both started screaming with joy and congratulating me. The Opel Adam is the cutest, sportiest and zippiest little car ever. I’ve even named him Adam, the other love in my life. I wouldn’t miss the FNB Cape Town 12 ONERUN for the world. This year my whole family has entered.”

According to Sue Ullyett, event manager for the FNB Cape Town 12 ONERUN, all runners that are on the start line the morning of the event stand a chance to win this spectacular prize. “It’s not every day that you stand a chance to win a car at a road running event. The ‘Win an Opel Adam’ competition definitely adds to the excitement, creating quite a vibe at the start. The winner will be announced before the gun goes off and gets to run to the finish line to claim the keys to a new Opel Adam.”

The FNB Cape Town 12 ONERUN was named “Race of the Year” at the Western Province Athletics Annual Awards function held at the end of 2015.

Charity Support: When entering online, runners can choose to support either or both of the FNB Cape Town ONERUN Charities: The Cape Of Good Hope SPCA and Die Burger Kersfonds.
