Wet weather for the W2W

Although the weather is expected to clear by the weekend, there could be some slightly muddy sections and we would advise that you pack some additional equipment to ease your ride:

  • Wet Chain Lube
  • Chain Breaker
  • Magic Links
  • If you have two pairs of cycling shoes, it is highly recommended that you bring both pairs
  • Fresh set of cycling clothing daily – clothes won’t dry overnight
  • Rain gear
  • Warm clothing
  • Eye protection – remember your sunglasses!
  • Make sure your bike has a mud guard on – this will prevent the mud flicking into your teeth.
  • Even though it might be cool, remember to hydrate well throughout the ride and keep your nutrition levels up.
